Last Saturday, I had the privilege of going to a city in Georgia called Clarkston for evangelism. Clarkston is one of the most diverse places in the United States. Considered by some to be โthe most diverse square mile in America.โ My group and I visited this coffee shop in Clarkston called Refuge Coffee where we stopped to talk with the locals. My friend Derek and I talked to this Kenyan woman who was serving Samosas. We got to hear her story about how she met her husband in Dubai and how she eventually ended up in the US. We were able to pray for her, her business, and her family. After talking with her, we met an Iraqi woman that barely spoke any English, who was talking to some of the girls in our group. This woman had a bunch of groceries around the bench where she was sitting, and she needed help carrying them back to her apartment. Derek and I borrowed a shopping cart from a grocery store nearby and we helped the woman bring her groceries back to her apartment. Although we could not explain the gospel to her with words, she could tell that something was different about us. What random acts of kindness are you willing to perform to share the love of Jesus? How much time are you willing to sacrifice in your day? In a culture that always seems to be in a hurry, slow down and let the Spirit move in your life to tell others about Jesus. Share the love of Christ with your words and your actions!
