Hey everyone!

Sorry I have not posted in a while. There have been some problems with trying to figure out new systems for blogs.

Just wanted to give an update on my time here in Cambodia and what my life here has looked like so far. Two weeks ago, we arrived here in Siem Reap where we have been doing ministry. My experience here has been nothing but wild and filled with the Lord’s goodness. On our first week of ministry, some of the other guys on my team and I did evangelism. On our first day, we decided to go to a Buddhist temple called Wat Bo. Within a few hours of being there, we met the head Buddhist monk of Siem Reap and ate lunch with him. We asked him about Buddhism and what they believed and what it looked like to practice Buddhism. We also met another monk named Visnai who is an eighteen-year-old. Visnai spoke good English, so we were able to witness to him. We shared the gospel with him and gave him a Bible. During that week we were also able to go to a mosque nearby and play soccer with some of the kids who lived in the local Muslim community in Siem Reap.

On our second week of ministry, we went to the villages in the surrounding area of the Siem Reap province. We went to these villages to pray for the villagers and to teach the kids English, tell Bible stories, and perform dances. It was an amazing time and being able to pray with the villagers and teach kids about Jesus filled my heart with so much joy.

For the last three weeks, my team and I have been doing ministry in a village called Chhuk. Monday-Thursday we teach English to 5–16-year-olds. During the morning and afternoon, we teach the younger kids and at night we teach the older students. On Saturday and Sunday, we do a soccer ministry where we help train the kids and where we scrimmage against them. My time in Chhuk has been so good! The kids are filled with so much joy and they love to play with us. The kids love to play tag with me, so they’ll run up to me after class or during break time and they’ll say “teacher denh” (teacher chase). Not only have I been able to build relationships with the kids and the staff here, but I have grown so much closer to the guys on my team, and I am so thankful for it.

Please continue to pray for my team and me as we continue ministering to the people here! Pray for breakthroughs in this community and for more people here to become disciples. Pray for our entire squad and that the Lord gives each individual strength and encouragement in ministry. Pray for provision for the staff here in Chhuk.

Till all have heard,

Nathan Watts
